Dalian JCtrans Logistics Network Co., Ltd, or JCtrans for short, was established in February 2000 with the purpose of facilitating effective communication between Chinese domestic freight forwarders. This was achieved through pioneering a completely new approach to online logistics, which offered a free and open access website to all. This provided the Chinese logistics community with a neutral platform on which to find business opportunities, build partnerships and broaden their agency networks. Due to this unique approach and valuable services, the website and JCtrans quickly gained in popularity, and by 2004 had already accumulated 50,000 members.

To strengthen the connections between the members and to further promote the website, in 2005 JCtrans began to organize its own conferences in major port cities throughout China. This lead to a rapid growth in notoriety, and today the website at www.jctrans.com boasts over 300,000 domestic members, which accounts for nearly all of the freight forwarders in China. It has also been ranked the No. 1 logistics websites in China for the last four years in succession by Alexa, a reputable website ranking institution. JCtrans has a close relationship with CIFA, the China International Freight Forwarders Association, and now work in cooperation to assist each other and to promote Chinese freight forwarders on the world stage.

After several years of successfully providing this service, JCtrans embraced the opportunity to promote its members on the world market, and assist them in expanding into the international logistics community.  There followed an extensive period of research and development to identify the specific needs of the clients in order to provide them with the optimum service.  This gave rise to the website www.jctrans.net, an English language website geared towards the international community, which was launched in January 2006.

Both website employs the same business strategies but www.jctrans.net is not a mere translation of the Chinese version. Rather it is a completely different platform connecting freight forwarders throughout the globe by providing opportunities. www.jctrans.net has amassed over 30,000 members from 200 different countries and regions over the two years it has been operational, and with continued promotion of the website and its premium members at international logistics events, this number is set to rise at an increasing rate.
