Flexitank is a new packaging method invented and developed 27 years ago. It effectively transports and stores liquid cargo through ordinary containers. Thereby greatly reducing the logistics cost of liquid cargo. From the invention of the flexitank to the current large-scale production and use, the materials, design and use methods of the flexitank have undergone many reforms and updates. Even today, the technology and scope of use of the flexitank can only be said to be relatively mature. In the process of continuous practice and exploration, the liquid bag packaging method will definitely be recognized and accepted by the market.

Compared with iso tank, the main risks of using flexitank are:

Leakage: The leakage of flexible packaging materials is inevitable. It is also the biggest obstacle to the use of flexitank.

There are many reasons for leakage. Generally speaking, they are divided into: flexitank design defects; liquid bag production design&quality defects; improper use (including scratches from foreign objects, violent collisions, etc.).

What can be done at present is to improve the design, strictly control the quality, and strengthen customer guidance to reduce the risk of leakage. Through rapid network response, reasonable insurance claims can further cover possible risks.

Drum box: Due to improper placement of empty flexitanks, violent shaking of the container, or use of non-standard containers, etc., the outside of the container box may even rupture.

Strengthen customer guidance and rationally use flexitanks; at the same time, strengthen communication with transportation companies and rationally operate container flexitanks to reduce the risk.

Unloading residue: As the inner layer material adsorbs on the valve port and causes blockage, some goods cannot be unloaded. Or the inner layer material ruptures, and the cargo penetrates between the inner layer material and the outer layer material, making it impossible to unload the cargo.

This problem mainly occurs in multi-layer Flexitank, and single-layer Flexitank can be better solved.

Restrictions on the use of flexitank bag container:

Scale requirements: storage tank equipment is required at the receiving and dispatching site;

Liquid temperature requirements: some liquids need to be heated, and Flexitank are difficult to operate;

Environmental temperature requirements: Due to the characteristics of PE materials, it is difficult to operate at temperatures below minus 15 degrees;

Separate storage requirements: Flexitanks after loading must be combined with container operations.

In the field of logistics, no solution is perfect. Risk and cost will always be opposed, and logistics companies will always find the balance point in its growth.
