JCtrans: Would you please make a brief introduction of your company? Sebastian Lauber: Global Cargo Service GmbH (GCS) was founded in 2015 as a logistics provider of high quality services. GCS now provides all kind of services like airfreight, seafreight (LCL/FCL/BB/RoRo), railfreight, customs services, documentation, international and domestic trucking as well as warehousing, machinery handling, seaworthy packing and value added services. Our 2000m2 warehouse is operated with own personal, a 8,5 to. Forklift and 6m high pallet rack. JCtrans: Would you please talk about your core-competitiveness? Sebastian Lauber: GCS is mainly specialized in Airfreight, Seafreight including seaworthy packing, customs clearances and international trucking. JCtrans: What do you think is the most important thing to run a logistics company? Sebastian Lauber: Two things are most important for success in logistics: Reliability and Motivation. To be a reliable provider for customers and partners is the key for a long term cooperation. Motivation is the key to build a team within the company that can provide reliable services to clients and partners. JCtrans: Would you please talk about the situation of logistic industry in your country? Sebastian Lauber: Logistics is facing a difficult situation in Germany these days. Clients demand high quality and reliable services at a reasonable pricing level. On the other side capacities at all transport modes are decreasing. GCS has always found a way to react on both and to provide an optimal solution for the needs of the cargo. JCtrans: Would you please talk about your strategy to explore foreign market? Sebastian Lauber: In times of Globalization, foreign markets are more and more important to serve properly. Our strategy for the future is to build up reliable and strong strategic long term mutual partnerships with local agents. Some countries are already developed with these kinds of partnerships and our experiences so far tells us that this is the right way to serve the needs of our clients. JCtrans: What is the reason that makes you become a GCP member to develop your business? Sebastian Lauber: The main reason to become a GCP member was the diversity of JC Trans and the global coverage. Also financial protection and the concept of JC Pay was another reason to become a GCP member. JCtrans: How do you maintain a long-term cooperation relationship with your clients? Sebastian Lauber: Our main goal is to be reliable and keep close contact with the clients. Being a reliable and pro-active partner is for most of our clients the most important feature of our cooperation.
