JCtrans: What do you think is the most important thing to run a logistics company?

Gordon Kastin: Paying attention to the details is paramount to success in our industry. It is often the small, overlooked detail inside an individual file that can cause a loss of both time and money. Every detail, no matter how fine, must be considered in both the planning stage and in the execution of a project or shipment.

JCtrans: Would you please talk about the situation of logistic industry in your country?

Gordon Kastin: The highly-competitive logistics and transportation industry in the United States is one of the fastest growing fields of work. Supply Chain Management is also quickly becoming one of the hottest majors for prospective college students. The U.S. logistics and transportation industry represents over 8% of the annual GDP for the U.S. with spending expected to surpass 1.5 trillion in 2018. This year, several of the large logistics firms are focusing their attention on three areas: e-commerce, customer service, and the demands of last mile delivery. While these mega forwarders are creating a more complicated landscape, they are carving out a niche market for the small and medium size forwarders like Airwaves Global. We provide real-time, personal guidance (along with our services) to the expanding sector of small-to-medium sized businesses struggling to get their goods to market.  

JCtrans: Would you please talk about your strategy to explore foreign market?

Gordon Kastin: Our global strategy to scale for growth in foreign markets is to develop strong, interpersonal relationships with your agent partners. Entering into new partnerships with high-quality agents has been key to our success.  At Airwaves Global we believe It is essential to instill a strong cultural awareness companywide. We feel that having a true understanding of our partners will build the trust needed for our continued success in foreign markets. The United States of America has the largest consumer base in the world. The appetite for goods, both foreign and domestic, is insatiable. We are fortunate to have many customers who import and export goods all over the world.
