JCtrans: Would you please make a brief introduction of your company?

Christine ZHAO: MCC World International was founded in 2007. We have grown to be one of Melbourne’s leading container and general freight logistics companies.  MCC World International together with our agents is truly committed to customer service.  We work together with our clients to assist on all of their logistical needs and have a specialized Projects department equipped to assist in their specific requirements.

Our Projects Cargo Team can assist in those one-off urgent consignments with on board carriers, supply cargo attendants for that valuable cargo or even assist with large project such as major plant and machinery movements.  We offer full and part Aircraft and Vessel Charters as a realistic alternative to normal scheduled services provided by the various carriers.  Additionally our projects department specializes in the setup of storage and distribution networks, warehousing, all modes of local, interstate and international transportation. 

JCtrans: Would you please talk about your core-competitiveness?

Christine ZHAO: Unlike the majority of our competitors we offer more than the “Industry Standard” Import, Export and Customs Clearance Service, we tailor our services to our clients’ individual and specialized logistics requirements. This is why MCC can have outstanding performance compare to our competitors.  

JCtrans: What do you think is the most important thing to run a logistics company?

Christine ZHAO: There are a lot of key factors to run a logistic company, such as pressure management, customer relationship management etc.  For us, we consider continue improvement as our top priority.  To be able to reach the top of the industry, critical-thinking and past experience is crucial.  Information should be gathered and analyzed, lessons need to be learnt and the existing process should be adjusted accordingly.  This is the most effective way to adapt to the changing market these days, such as digitization and customer expectation.  

JCtrans: Would you please talk about the situation of logistic industry in your country?

Christine ZHAO: It is very competitive I would say.  Australian’s logistics industry account for a significant contribution to its GDP, and the industry will keep expanding and growing.  So in order to survive and thrive, we have to devote all of our energy to the business and to our clients, and aiming to become better every day.

JCtrans: Would you please talk about your strategy to explore foreign market?

Christine ZHAO: We have been actively taking part in overseas conference and meeting.  I consider that as a good way to expand our network.  Apart from that, we have proactively boosted cooperative opportunities with oversea agency all over the world.  Our strategy has been successful.  We have partners from China, New Zealand, SE Asia, UK, USA and etc.  But we will not stop here, because at MCC, we are always aim to be better.

JCtrans: What is the reason that makes you become a GCP member to develop your business?

Christine ZHAO: We reckon that GCP is a global logistics network with e-commerce and online public platform.  We can really use the global networking services and get contact with freight forwarders and other logistical service providers.  We can expand procurement channels and freight forwarders and offer logistics solution services to global partners to build long-term cooperation relationships.  

JCtrans: How do you maintain a long-term cooperation relationship with your clients?

Christine ZHAO: To maintain a health customer relationship at MCC is about meeting customers' demands. We pay decent amount of attention to the quality of service we provide, we make sure our service is on time, in the right place, at the right cost and in the right condition. And customer will know that MCC is always their best choice.
