Ong Chin Kian & Ong Chin Keong: Transcargo Worldwide (M) Sdn Bhd is a Malaysian-owned total logistics company providing international freight, customs brokerage, third party warehousing, inland and cross-border transportation, distribution and other value-added services.

Our mission is to maintain a superior service standard through the enhancement of human resources development and continuous upgrading of information technology within the organization to achieve total customer satisfaction.

Jctrans: Would you please talk about your core-competitiveness?

Ong Chin Kian & Ong Chin Keong: Transcargo has a well-established network that covers the entire airports, seaports and border gateways in Malaysia. Due to the capability, facility and ability, we are appointed by Alibaba as logistics and customs agent for DFTZ (Digital Free Trade Zone), using eWTP (Electronic World Trade Platform) for B2B export.

Jctrans: What do you think is the most important thing to run a logistics company?

Ong Chin Kian & Ong Chin Keong: Enthusiasm, it is in line with our slogan “Your Passionate Logistics Partner”, where we want to serve our customer, supplier & staff with passionate.

Jctrans: Would you please talk about the situation of logistic industry in your country?

Ong Chin Kian & Ong Chin Keong: Due to outbreak of Covid-19, Malaysia Government has imposed Movement Control Order from 18th Mar – 14th Apr 2020, and only allow essential industries to operate, other non-essential industries are ordered to close. This pandemic has caused logistics very challenging typically airfreight, where most of the passenger flights have been cancelled. However, due to we are IATA & FIATA accredited cargo agent, so we can still secure capacity with all airlines who are still serving. We are able to offer aircraft charter service too, especially from China to Malaysia for medical aid goods.

Jctrans: Would you please talk about your strategy to explore foreign market?

Ong Chin Kian & Ong Chin Keong: Being an independent forwarder, we need to join forwarder network to explore & co-operate with foreign independent forwarder.
