Mike Brough: GDF is a locally owned company, covering all aspects of Freight Forwarding including customs clearance and delivery services, and services to the Pacific Islands. JCtrans: Would you please talk about your core-competitiveness? Mike Brough: With 8 staff with over 20 years freight experience, we have the experience to handle most commodities and the knowledge to make it work. JCtrans: What do you think is the most important thing to run a logistics company? Mike Brough: Honesty and Professionalism. JCtrans: Would you please talk about the situation of logistic industry in your country? Mike Brough: NZ is largely an import country and we are continually finding more of our customers want to outsource their 3PL which adds to the total supply chain solution we provide to the client. JCtrans: Would you please talk about your strategy to explore foreign market? Mike Brough: By regularly attending network meetings, our Senior Management become aware of any opportunity overseas and market trends. JCtrans: What is the reason that makes you become a GCP member to develop your business? Mike Brough: Members can be assured of working with a committed, stable agent. JCtrans: How do you maintain a long-term cooperation relationship with your clients? Mike Brough: We aim for our customers to become ‘fans’ of our company, much like people do with their sports teams. If our customers trust us and believe we are doing our best for them at a good price, then there is no more reason to change.
