ODALLO BENELLY OCHIENG: Understanding the industry, government regulations and most important role as freight forwarder in facilitation of trade for our clients and collection of revenue for the state. Aligning this with our values which is trust. JCtrans: Would you please talk about the situation of logistic industry in your country? ODALLO BENELLY OCHIENG: In Kenya government policies keep on changing time from time and this we have to be on top on information. For instance with the onset of the Standard Gauge railway that ensured all containers to be moved to Nairobi ICD for clearance, in an move to decongest the port in Mombasa ,many were caught off-guard with this directive. The growth of infrastructure and the improvement of the port of Mombasa Transit shipment has improved significantly. JCtrans; Would you please talk about your strategy to explore foreign market? ODALLO BENELLY OCHIENG: For you to be competitive in international trade you must be able to offer a one stop hop logistic solution to your clients and the only way to maintain this advantage is to be part of international networks like JC trans, through this we work on sales lead together and generate with our fellow partners.
