OBT Shipping was established in Sierra Leone in late 2003. Our aim was to provide ship owners and the local shipping environment in general with a more reliable service to the steadily growing markets in West Africa. Our main coverage areas in the region are Gambia, Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia. With our dedicated partners inthe region our representation also includes sub-agents in Mauritania, Dakar, Abidjan and Ghana. In the past few years the company has grown to include over 200 staff in the group.
OBT Shipping was founded by Danish professional shipping executives and our offices are mostly managed by Danish shipping people with long term experience in West Africa. Obviously because of our Danish origins we have a commercial office in Copenhagen. Our head office is located in Switzerland. OBT Shipping is widely respected for our Scandinavian style of service, leadership and business conduct in general. Our Danish roots also provide a long tradition of shipping knowledge and a strong network to leading shipping owners, operators and worldwide companies.

We operate in a dynamic and sometimes turbulent region of the world where problems will inevitably occur but we have more than a decade of local presence, partnerships and experience to solve them.
