CMA CGM announced on May 12 that it has further expanded its air cargo business with the launch of three new destinations: Dubai, Beirut and Istanbul.

According to the plan, CMA CGM will start regular flights between Liege and Dubai on May 19. CMA CGM said Dubai is an ideal hub, located at the crossroads between Europe, Asia and Africa, with advanced infrastructure to process goods quickly and reliably. At the same time, CMA CGM can also provide comprehensive services including air freight, sea freight and logistics.
After starting the regular route between Liege and Dubai,CMA CGM also plans to start the regular fleights from Liege to Beirut and Istanbul.

CMA CGM said,the new department will stenghthen their logistics services ability,so that shipping and logistics business to achieve better complementarity,to provide a series of comprehensive,flexible and customized transportation solutions.
CMA CGM has also purchased four 60-dwt Airbus A330-200F aircraft and is using Liege airport in Belgium as a strategic base for its operations.
