JCtrans: Would you please make a brief introduction of your company?

PHYO THIHA KYAW: PT 2006 INTL is established in 2013, Senior Management of PT 2006 is pioneer person of the Myanmar shipping industry and key management team had oversea experiences and training. PT 2006 opened branch office in Jiegao/Ruili for cross border land transport between China – Myanmar.  

PT 2006 became a member of MIFFA (Myanmar International Freight Forwarder Association) in 2013. As a global network, PT 2006 joined to WWPC in 2014 and joined JCtrans network in 2018. Then, PT 2006 joined to GLA in 2019.

JCtrans: Would you please talk about your core-competitiveness?

PHYO THIHA KYAW: Young, dynamic, quick responsiveness are our core-competitiveness. Furthermore, PT 2006 has own forwarding license, own customs broker license and clearance team. Simple organization structure, flexibilities are key points of our core-competitiveness.

JCtrans: What do you think is the most important thing to run a logistics company?

PHYO THIHA KYAW: Experience, knowledge and capabilities are the most important thing to run successful company.

JCtrans: Would you please talk about the situation of logistic industry in your country?

PHYO THIHA KYAW: Exclusive freight forwarders are very hard to get profit and struggling during COVID-19 period. Non-exclusive freight forwarders (Land/Sea/Air) have opportunities and will get more market sharing. Myanmar consumer buying patterns are changing and bulky importers cannot compete to individual buyers.

JCtrans: Would you please talk about your strategy to explore foreign market?

PHYO THIHA KYAW: First of all, find more MNC company who have investment in Myanmar and try to become their logistics providers. Secondly, join to international logistics network and promote company brand and get wider network in logistics industry.

JCtrans: What is the reason that makes you become a GCP member to develop your business?

PHYO THIHA KYAW: The first reason is GCP has many members. Especially, China Logistics Company. The most important is, we like GCP customer services and faster respond.

JCtrans: How do you maintain a long-term cooperation relationship with your clients?

PHYO THIHA KYAW: We maintain our client with mutual benefit. Logistics provider is kind of transport architecture. Therefore, we provide professional advice of logistics solution. Furthermore, we always educate to our client as well as collaborators.
