JCtrans: What do you think is the most important thing to run a logistics company?

Mr Maxwell Ansah: The most import strategy to run a logistics company is upgrading technology in the company. Software can be created to make communication and processes in the company easier and faster. This can would help the directors and leaders know what’s going on in every department, correct mistakes to increase productivity.

JCtrans: Would you please talk about the situation of logistic industry in your country?

Mr Maxwell Ansah: As the shipping industry keeps growing, more freight forwarding companies are evolving and emerging hence making the market very competitive. The government is constantly making changes and bringing innovative ideas to help the industry. Recently the government changed the old system thus the Ghana Community Network Services (GCNET), to Integrated Customs Management System (ICUMS), This has made sending of customs declarations very easy as one can stay in their homes or anywhere and send declarations. It has also become a single window where one can access all customs activities on one 
platform. Also all activities on customs clearance has become transparent for both consignee and the government.

JCtrans: Would you please talk about your strategy to explore foreign market?
Mr Maxwell Ansah: One of the most common modes of international market entry is partnering and joining associations,this is an important vehicle to consider if you want to expand your services and make more profits.
