    JCtrans: Would you please make a brief introduction of your company?

    Ho Shing Sum, José: Trans Asia Express Ltd is HKG based integrated logistics service provider, established in April 1999, we mainly focus our effort in the P.R. China / Hong Kong to/from World Wide by Sea and Air Freight. We provider full range services of “combined transportation” that not only provides air/ocean “port to port”, but also provides “door to door” ocean & air freight forwarding, N.V.O.C.C., warehousing, distribution, etc. Besides, E-commence is another potential business in the market, TAE have corporation with an E-commence warehouse in Beijing Tianzhu Free Trade Zone. We can provide one-stop service of E-commence, including: warehousing, customers clearance, pick and pack, distribution, etc.

    JCtrans: Would you please talk about your core-competitiveness?

    Ho Shing Sum, José: We, TAE have many good relationships with Carrier and Airline, we can provide more competitive rate to save cost. Focusing on the price is not a sustainable solution for a long run.

    Besides the competitive rate, service is another priority to customers. Every business is precious for us. Therefore we would provide man-to-man service, to bring forth the customized solutions to customers & partners from their point of views with cares.

    Of course, we put our fully effort to satisfy each customers need.

    Moreover, we think we are a consultant more than only run a logistics business, we advise solutions to every clients, not only focus on the core value.

    JCtrans: What do you think is the most important thing to run a logistics company?

    Ho Shing Sum, José: Passion, profession, excellent service with heart. In addition to professional knowledge that are able to retain the customers’ confident and loyalty. Also, the ability to foresee and adept the fast-changing logistics world to implement an appropriate strategy for the company growth.

    JCtrans: Would you please talk about the situation of logistic industry in your country?

    Ho Shing Sum, José: We are located HKG based, due to location advantage and government support, HKG have advantage in logistic business, such as: Low tax rate, Simple taxation, Free port, Efficient customs clearance operations… It advantages are providing convenient for us.

    However, facing China compete which is based on lower competitiveness, terminal handling fee, transportation network, it actually impact on HKG logistics businesses.

    Despite Hong Kong are facing odd conditions, its value is still remained. Recently, e-commerce industry is blossoming in China, they are eager to purchase the overseas products, from daily personal products to luxury items. The e-commerce company would like to store cargoes in Hong Kong because it is a free port that easy for logistics arrangement; and the security level is more reliable comparatively.

    JCtrans: Would you please talk about your strategy to explore foreign market?

    Ho Shing Sum, José: Globalization has created many opportunities to the world, such as Asia, Africa, Latin America etc, it stimulates numerous economy activity in those regions ; as a result , their economy have been growing up rapidly.

    As a logistics service provider, we would select the potential markets which is suitable to the company itself strengthens and development plan. Next step is to cultivate the direction on how to approach it such as the service and the products for the market. Reliable partners are inevitable in the foreign market, if your organization has branch offices, starting discussion with them; if not, search a good partner in order to get common goals.

    JCtrans: What is the reason that makes you become a GCP member to develop your business?

    Ho Shing Sum, José: Firstly of all, we are ambitious to develop worldwide and we are extending our company business. JC Trans is a famous and well-organized network platform for us to reach the potential partners worldwide which increase our exposure in the worldwide platform.

    JCtrans: How do you maintain a long-term cooperation relationship with your clients?

    Ho Shing Sum, José: Serve with care, provide solutions from the customers’ perspective with professional knowledge as a consultant and ultimately to develop to a friend relationship with customers.
