    hapag-Lloyd

    Details as following:

It is another major shipping company after Maersk to adjust its booking service due to the blockage of the Suez Canal.

Maersk has decided to suspend short-term online bookings through the SPOT platform, as well as short-term contract bookings in some areas in the near future, in anticipation of a significant impact on its capacity in the coming weeks due to the knock-on effects of the Suez incident.

Maersk suspended short-term booking services for some exports in Asia, the Middle East, India and Pakistan, Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa and other places.

As well as suspending bookings on some routes, Hapag-Lloyd expects greater challenges in the coming weeks for the supply of containers to China and Hong Kong, now that the Suez Canal has just resumed traffic.

For these reasons, Hapag-Lloyd said it would cut the time it takes for empty containers to be taken out of all standard containers (20ft dry / 40ft dry/tall) from the current 7 days to 6 until further notice.Applicable to export booking services to Mainland China and Hong Kong, China.
